They came under AFL's wings around the end of 1990. 1991 - The group died around april, as their leader Trax and 11 other members left to form a new group called Sharks. Zenith was a swiss-based group formed in the beginning of 1989 by Anome 68000 a few weeks after the death of the legendary Ackerlight. In fact, early Zenith was almost identical to the Swiss section of Ackerlight. As they grew, they gained sections in other countries, but leadership remained in Switzerland. Their leader became Black Arrow. The group had interests in both the demoscene and the illegal cracking scene, where they remained active at least until 1994. Their slogan was "Totally Abnormal But Still Cool". 1991 - "A New Intro" (04/91) announced the joining of The Warlord, as well as a new Swedish section consisting of Colle, Mr.Guru and Water Ghost (BIG BANG). The name of the board was later changed to THE BEACH. Another intro, "New BBS" (05/91) announced the groups first elite Swiss board; EMPIRE. 1992 - Swiss Slain (02-04/92) joined with his newly opened HALLOWED POINT, but left for Fusion towards the end of the year, taking trader team Sabber and Floyd with him. The intro "Swaptro" in november announced swiss graphician Fighter as a new member. 1993 - THE ELECTRIC CO likely took over WHQ status from DAMNED CITADEL sometime this year. Aldos Intro 8 (1991-04-20, OCS Intro) code: Aldo Reset, gfx: Phoenix (logo), music: Funschis. info: This intro welcomes The Warlord to the group, as well as the new Swedish section consisting of Colle, Mr.Guru and Water Ghost (with the board BIG BANG). Freedom Crack #11 (1993-03, ECS Multifile Diskmag). INT - code: Tibo, gfx: Fox, music: "Smaugroove" by Case. MAG - code: Samir, Teo/independent, Filippetto (additional), gfx: Magic/independent, Blacky/independent, Fox (loadpic), music: "Freedom" by Funschis, "Medley" by Case, "30November" Filippetto, editor: Filippetto. review: This issue of FC is audio-visually very good, with top-notch but minimalist input in both code, graphics and music departments. Where it fails, though, is on the editorial side of things. It looks great, but there just isn't a lot of interesting stuff to read, I'm afraid. The code has been heavily improved before the release of this issue, they inform us, and we can't but agree. The last issue I saw of FC was #8 (in Vega), and this one's certainly a lot better than that. It's stable, for one thing :) [reviewed by menace] GLE tested A500 /000-7 /˝mb chip, ˝mb fast/2.04. In time, the group died, as many members went off to make games. They used to have a homepage at http://zerodefects.babylonet.com, but that appears to have vanished from the web now, sadly. Al Capone used to swap, but had apparently left that behind by 12/90, as the memberlist in "Gridlock" testifies. 1990 - After the demise of The Perfects around september, Doctor O, Israel, Rotter and Sledge all joined Zeus. Gridlock (1990-12, OCS Intro). code: Doctor O, gfx: Israel, music: Jugi/Byterapers. info: Music ripped from an old Byterapers music disk, which they do admit, citing a lack of time as the reason for not using one of their own musicians. Zylon (1990-) ------------- Zylon was one of Alpha Flight's subgroups, formed in february 1990, before the entire group decided to liberate itself and exist in their own right.
