Unicess were a Danish cracking group. 1990 - Mr.German joined from Unicess around february, and changed his handle to 2Cool. Tecon (previously in Starion) returned to the scene around february, and joined Unicess. Exory was caught cheating by the post office around the same time, but vowed to not stop swapping. Danish cracker Exory left around july to build his own group, Holocaust. Belgian members Divine (code) and Yoga (gfx) left the group for WOW. Divine released the first issue of "Internal" for this group; subsequent releases were made for WOW. It's more like an extended note. The top of the screen has a swinging Unicess logo, and at the bottom a scroller resides. The rest of the screen is for the text, and you progress through the pages with the spacebar. The release date is a guess, based on the fact that it refers to events that happened at the Dominators and Upfront party, which was in december 1989. Unique ------ 1992 - Crossfire (crack swap) left for Vision around february. Unisex (1990-) -------------- Unisex was formed around march 1990 by former members of 2000 AD, Illusion and Realm. Unit 5 ------ SWE> Dae (swap, 11/89-05/90), Fizzy (swap, 05/90). Unit 5 were a swedish demo group. 1990 - Zartan and Clutch left for Deathsector around february. Midnight Mover stopped swapping, and presumably left the scene early this year. Thunder left for Dreamline Design around july. United Artists (UA) ------------------- 1989 - Twilight joined from Titan in december. 1990 - Viper and Twilight left for the newly formed group Occult in september. Unlight (1995-) --------------- NOR> The Meatball (Øyvind Antonsen, swap, 01/95). Unlight was a Norwegian demo group, born around january 1995, when the group Digital Designs changed their name to Unlight. It is doubtful if any releases were ever made. Unreal ------ CZE> Matthew (Martin Trika, swap, 95), Pseudografx (gfx, 12/95), Ray (Lostak Ladislav, code, 12/95), Rob (Robert Fenol, swap, 95). Unreal was a Czech demo group. Ray had his tool Sprite Assembler released commercially, and also released a NoteMaker tool called TimeNoter V2.0 [12/95]. Upfront ------- DEN> Einstein (code), Groucho (gfx), Johannes Bjerregaard (music, aka Jozz), Zoro (gfx). ???> ASC, Blitz, Hades, Ray, Robotron, Stargate, Tech. Upfront was a danish demo group. Toaster (File). code: Einstein, gfx: Savage/2000 AD and Mr.3D/Starion (coop picture), Zoro (sprites), Groucho (sprites), music: Johannes Bjerregaard. review: This small 3-part demo is technically competent, with some nicelooking parts. The first part is a 'real tech-tech' routine performed on Savage and 3D's cooperation picture, with a bouncing spritescroller overlaid. The second part is also quite nice, with a version of Glenn Miller's "In The Mood" on the soundtrack and some nice rasterbars bouncing about with another spritescroller. The third and final part presents a 28 sprite multiplexed DYSP routine, controllable with the joystick. This is an especially good part, IMHO, with sprites and a good soundtrack. Unfortunately, no time of release appears anywhere in the demo. They do mention they've started doing Amiga demos too, with Einstein coding.
