Just a few words to let you know I'm still alive. To sum the activity level up; it's summer :) There are festivals, scene parties, and other beer bashes to attend with friends and others. I hope to possibly have a new edition of Scenery ready in time for Solskogen, but we'll just have to see. Demon Download moved to http://dd.untergrund.net - update your bookmarks. And feel free to visit my gallery, if you want to see me drunk.

Well, I'm off to get drunk very very soon, just wanted to leave you with the board ads I spoke about a while ago. Enjoy and all that. No, not a joke. Cheers!

My intention with this site was always to share more than just Scenery - I've amassed an astonishing amount of stuff over my years as a demoscene enthusiast. Reference material, notes, so much that may or may not be of use to the general public. But after all, this is the internet, and quite possibly someone, somewhere, finds some of these things interesting or even useful. :)
So, in that spirit, I've uploaded my collection of c64 software to the server. Well, not only software. In fact, everything is meticulously organized (to the point of obsession in some cases), reviewed, commented and generally been showered with love and affection. No need to take my word for it really, go here to have a look.
Next up (maybe even this weekend?) is some... well, actually, quite a few - bbs ads from back in the day, that I've collected to use as reference. And after that comes Scenery 3.00. Keep watching this space. Oh, and keep loving Demon Download as much as I do.

Updated the file Snapshots for scenery today, so check out the updated content. Been feeling pretty motivated lately, so actually quite a bit of work has been done :).
As most of you have probably noticed, we've entered into a pretty fruitful cooperation with the newly launced, but awesome amiga demo site Demon Download, which has been interesting and has brought about a good few synergies for both myself, amiganostalgia.com and Scenery. It's been fun bouncing ideas off Canine, and hopefully he has found some use for my stuff too. Some reviews from Scenery will in the future be seen online on Demon Download as well.
If you wondere what happened to www.the-special-brothers.org, and sighs at the fact that another group vanished from the web, never to be seen again, well then rejoice. The site will return soon, hosted by us, your lovely amiganostalgia.com gimps. Ivan just have a few minor things to iron out with the site before it goes live, and you can all bathe in packdisk and other software goodness again. Keep watching this space.
And come to Sweden Rock Festival and RagnaRock this summer. Drink beer, watch some kickass shows, and enjoy life. It's good for you.

The second DMS file is Amok's "Sex'n'Crime #2", grab it in the DMS section. Redesigned the file format too, and reimplemented the design in file #1. Hope you like it.

Well, no two ways about it: I've decided to have another release of Scenery out before the end of the year. Not only that, it will be Scenery United; the c64 and amiga sections included in one big, nice package. Thinking about it, it made really perfect sense. No reason to separate the two, when a big package makes more sense, and allows for closer cross-referencing. The new directory structure will have readme's and the like in the root, and '64', 'am' and 'misc' subdirectories for the c64, amiga and other content espectively.
I will also introduce 'Scenery Timeline' in this release, which will be my attempt to chronologically walk you though the history of the demoscene - or more correctly the history of computer entertainment from a demoscene perspective. This is similar to the small recaps that have been in front of the yearly party result files, only more elaborate.
Still working on DMS, but have been too caught up in real-life obligations to have been able to properly finish #2 yet. Expect it soonish. Also, anyone wanting to help out - c64, amiga or pc - get in touch.
Kindergarden Rocked.
I got some link banners from our good friend Skan for this site, but unfortunately they played some havoc with my layout when I tried to implement them. Will look into it, Skan - haven't forgotten! :)
Monday the 31st of October 2005 (Happy Happy Halloween)

Hey. Welcome to Menacing Projecs, my little nook on the web to present my small projects, and hopefully learn a little about web development along the way. Not much here yet, but I hope to fill the site with some more content in the following days. Stay tuned.
Since I suck oh so hard at these things, this design was borrowed from the Open Source Web Design site. It's called "Tierra Verde, and was designed by a nice chap called Haran.
Oh yeah, and come to Kindergarden.
